EXPERIENCING VICTORY IN TRIALS
In James 1:2-7; 1 Peter 1:6,7; Hebrews 12:1-12 we see that God allows us to go through trials while we are here on earth. God purposes that as we go through these trials that we develop strong faith and perseverance by believing in Him and trusting Him. In James 1:12; 1Peter 1:7-9 we read that as we persevere under trials we will glorify God and later receive the crown of life, the salvation of our souls that has been promised to us.
VICTORY IN OUR TRIALS STARTS WITH PROPER ATTITUDES

James 1:2 – We need to move from murmuring to praise; from murmuring & praise to joy; from murmuring to only praise & joy

Daniel 3:17,18 – We need to believe that God is able to deliver us, but it He doesn’t, we will still worship and serve God – our Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ, precious Holy Spirit
VICTORY CONTINUES AS WE BELIEVE BIBLICAL TRUTHS

Romans 8:31-34; Numbers 13:30; 14:6-9,24 – God is with us, who can stand against us? – We need to measure the giants and mountains in our lives against God

as God shows us, we need to repent and ask God and others to forgive us – We also need to forgive others

Ephesians 6:10-18 – We need to put on the armor of God, putting on the undergarment of Love

We need to purpose to regularly read, memorize, meditate on and apply the written word of God – The Holy Bible – 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We need to take the sword out of the sheath and quote the word of God to the devil and stand on the word of God Matt 4:1-11;Lk 4:1-13

James 4:6-10 – We need to humble ourselves, draw close to God and resist the devil

We need to hear from God and respond with RADICAL OBEDIENCE & TRUST Lk 1:26-38; Matt 1:18-24; Lk 2:1-7; Matt 2:13-23; Prov 3:1-13

We need to go about our day with our eyes on the Lord, not on the trial or the devil – we need to focus on serving the Lord

Ephesians 4:27 – We need to make sure that as we purpose to be led by the Holy Spirit throughout the day that we do not let flesh rise up and give the devil a foothold, through anger, receiving the spirit of offense, falling back into a bad habit – Prov 16:9; 20:24; Gal 5:16-25
Situation “Broken Relationship” – You have been friends with someone for a long time. A) All of a sudden an argument breaks out between you. B) The person rails against you & you don’t know why (step 1 Prov 2:1-12;Matt 5:10,11). The result is the other person is now avoiding you.
Situation: “Financial Stress” – You may have lost a job; charged too much money to credit cards; encounter a severe health problem that you can’t work; or some other situation.
The following are suggestions on how to apply Biblical truths to these situations in hopes that it will help you in applying Biblical truths to your specific situation and experience victory. The steps are ordered 1-8 on page 1.
